This pastel piece depicts a reel-life struggle between fishermen and mighty fish. The Atlantic blue marlin is no slouch; she can exceed 14 feet in length and 2000 pounds in size. She can also propel herself at speeds greater than 50 miles per hour underwater - an impressive sight to behold. This picture captures the critical moment when the victor is determined. Will the fish escape? Will the fisherman capture his prize? Only you - the customer - can decide the fate of these two warriors. The choice is yours.
About Andrew Blitman
Andrew Blitman is an artist and the author of 13 books, who grew up in Cooper City, Florida, and received a Masters in Marine Conservation Science and Policy from the University of Miami in May 2014. There, he blogged on Wordpress. The blog posts evolved into multiple books, including a memoir of his experiences on a 2012 Birthright trip to Israel: "Birthright 2012: A Voyage into the Heart and Soul of Israel". Beginning in June 2017, Blitman released a three-book collection of poems titled, "Wild Writers". He is both the author and the illustrator for all of them.
