This endangered species is highly vulnerable to the pet trade, which is responsible for more than 100,000 pangolin abductions each and every year. The goal of this picture is to promote endangered species awareness and conservation efforts.
Andrew Blitman is an artist and the author of 13 books, who grew up in Cooper City, Florida, and received a Masters in Marine Conservation Science and Policy from the University of Miami in May 2014. There, he blogged on Wordpress. The blog posts evolved into multiple books, including a memoir of his experiences on a 2012 Birthright trip to Israel: "Birthright 2012: A Voyage into the Heart and Soul of Israel". Beginning in June 2017, Blitman released a three-book collection of poems titled, "Wild Writers". He is both the author and the illustrator for all of them.
